Sendzimir is proud to add to our team a man with great background knowledge of both 20-High Cluster mills as well as Z-High® and Skinpass mills.  Marc is based out of Asia and can easily travel to China, Taiwan, Japan, Indonesia.  He also works out of the US for several months out of the year.

Marc Richcreek started in 1973 at Coshocton Stainless as a mill operator for the cluster mills.  Coshocton retrofitted two 4-High mils in house to the Z-High® configuration and Marc was instrumental in the mechanical installation as well as the start up of these mills. 

Marc has since worked on brass and copper mills as well as carbon steel mills worldwide.  He has spent considerable time in the Far East working on new mill installations and is quite familiar with start up and operational problems.

Sendzimir Engineering works to support Marc in the field with background engineering calculations and analysis as required.  This team work has earned numerous accolades from customers worldwide!  To his credit, he takes a cautious and sensible approach to the customer - "listen and you'll learn - then make changes one at a time to improve production."

  • Assist in determining proper work roll crown to optimize reduction schedules and facilitate good strip shape

  • Assist in determining proper 1st intermediate taper length and rate of rise for optimizing reductions and attaining proper strip shape

  • Assist in determining proper coolant application for optimum strip shape and quality

  • Help identify and correct mill related defects

  • Help identify and correct roll grinder induced defects

  • Assist in determining proper mill maintenance schedules

  • Assist in selecting proper entry and exit tensions per pass

  • Assist in setting up new rolling practices, and aid in new product development

  • Assist in layouts for new equipment or revamps of existing equipment

  • Assist in optimizing pass schedules, speeds, and tensions for improved productivity and quality

  • Assist in evaluating existing equipment for quality/productivity enhancements. (ie. AGC, Mill models, cooling systems, wiping systems, shape control, etc. )

  • Can train, and/or give new rolling ideas to mill crews

  • Can assist in overseeing new mill installations or capital improvements

  • Can assist client on cost effectiveness when they are dealing with a supplier for capital improvements

  • Can assist client in dealing with customer complaints that are thought to be rolling mill related
