USING THIS EQUATION SOLVER

Selecting an equation at left will display its parameter form in this frame. The top of the frame will show the name of the equation. Below this is a description of the equation, what it calculates, and perhaps a little about how to use the results. You may select English or metric units for input. The appropriate unit for each field is displayed after each parameter name (ft is for feet, m is for meters, etcetera). Below the equation parameter form is a short description of each parameter. Some equations may have additional information at the very bottom. If you can't see it, please scroll down.

Solve for a particular parameter by entering values for the other parameters. Press the CALC button to calculate for the remaining parameter you wish to determine. You do not have to enter units in the fields. However, the values you enter must be in the units requested.
